Garden design

At Touch the Earth Garden Design, we offer a full concept to completion package where your whole project can be done in-house by our knowledgeable and dedicated team.

My sustainable garden designs not only celebrate the beauty of nature but also respect it. With a focus on environmental responsibility, I employ eco-conscious practices and materials to create a harmonious, green space that's kind to the planet as it is for your soul.

Planting design

Embrace the unique climate and landscape of the Peak District with a planting design that reflects the region's natural charm. I specialise in creating seasonal naturalistic planting plans that thrive in our local climate. Experience the changing seasons in your very own oasis, with blooms and foliage that paint a stunning, ever-evolving piece of artwork.

Budget-Friendly Plans for Your Dream Garden

I understand the importance of budget management. I can work with you to create a transparent and tailored budget that suits your needs and to your financial considerations, ensuring you get the garden you've always envisioned.

It is often said that the cost to redesign your outside space is not dissimilar to that of a new kitchen or an interior. As well as having a wonderful and peaceful outside space, a well designed and maintained garden is an investment for your home.

I pride myself on ensuring that I get the best out of you to help implement your dream garden. I am working to become a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers which means that all aspects of my design will be rigorously assessed to ensure the highest standards.

The design fees are calculated on each individual project, as no project is the same. The range is between 10% - 20% of the overall budget depending on the work involved and not including project management. I do offer a fixed rate fee for those who have a capped budget in mind so do get in touch with me about that.

The hard landscaping fees and materials will be the heftiest costs and these are calculated nearer the time of the garden build due to unforeseen, fluctuating building costs. There are many complex elements to the construction of the new build that happen to ensure safety, thorough drainage and any level changes for example. Many gardens start at 21k if the client requires paving, but many gardens can cost double that or more. Some gardens that I have designed are to be built by the owners themselves and this lowers the cost to just the design work, which I am happy to do as some first time buyers prefer this. But do get in contact so we can discuss your ideas first. I am very flexible and open minded!
